Les Noëlies - Nativity Scene Trail

Description

Since Christmas 1985, the current nativity scene, the work of Molsheim sculptor Raymond Keller, has been on display in the church, and has been gradually added to, based on a commission from the parish's Marian congregation of men. The various statues are carved from limewood, and the structures from fir. The crib features the Holy Family, a shepherd, a donkey and an ox, along with a few sheep. A couple of young shepherds bring their offerings, a king sets down the golden casket, a vase of frankincense and myrrh, while another young shepherd sits on the edge of the table playing a flute tune...
